Festival Submissions

We are now accepting submissions for the HARCO Comedy Festival. We want to provide as many opportunities as possible over this week long event. Festival will be held from February 9th - 15th.

Please read the submission criteria carefully. Submissions that are not in line with the criteria will not be considered, nor will refunds be provided to any submission fees.

​

Submission criteria is as follows:

​​

  • Your submission must be at least 5 minutes, but no longer than 10 minutes. Video is hosted on a video sharing platform (Use YouTube, don't be weird and use Vimeo).

  • Do not set video to private, we will not be able to view it. Do not send video as an email attachment.

  • Your video should be a single shot from a stationary cam with no cuts, edits. Performance should only feature you (no host intro). 

  • Performance must be from within the last 6 months. Older submissions will not be considered. HARCO comedy festival want to ensure those submitting are comedians actively applying their craft. 

  • Submission should showcase you telling jokes, not performing crowd work. Save that for TikTok. We want to see you performing your written material.

Submissions will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

  • Originality

  • Joke writing and structure

  • Stage presence

  • Audience Response

  • Audio/Video quality of submission

LAST MINUTE |  Between November 20th - Dec 5th - $35

Comedians residing in Harford County may submit for free through November 19th. Residency may be verified by festival staff. 

No submissions will be accepted after the Dec 5th deadline

Submissions must include:

1) Link to video submission

2) Your name, current hometown, bio with headshot

3) Submission fee paid via paypal to @jamesfinncomedy or Venmo @james-finn-3

Festival acceptance and lineup to be announced by January 9th. Acceptance will guarantee performer at least one festival appearance. Any expenses for travel, lodging, etc will be the responsibility of the performer. As with most comedy festivals, performer compensation should not be expected.
